Larry Gaynor is an award-winning entrepreneur with four decades of business leadership in the beauty industry. After graduating from Michigan State University (MSU) with a bachelor's degree in business and taking one interview with a prominent accounting firm, he quickly decided he wanted to be his own boss and soon after launched GAYNOR'S retail store. In 1985, Larry founded the beauty products distributor TNG Worldwide. He continues to serve as Founder and CEO of the company and has grown it into a multinational enterprise with manufacturing plants in more than 10 countries. He was awarded Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year in 1992.
Today, the company sells a wide range of beauty and wellness products and accessories under brands Ginger Lily Farms, EMMA Beauty, and ForPro Professional Collection, the latter of which is a bestselling brand on Amazon. TNG is an Amazon Top 200 Beauty Reseller. It was also named a Top Workplace by the Detroit Free Press for several years.
Larry is versed in marketing, employee training and mentorship, and critical business decision-making. He offers aspiring and experienced entrepreneurs insight into these and other skills through one-on-one coaching and also opines on various business topics in his popular CEO blog at larrygaynor.com. In addition, Mr. Gaynor is authoring a new book focused on his 50+ years as an entrepreneur and offers 100 Life Lessons.
Also a dedicated philanthropist, Larry, along with his wife, Teresa, partnered with MSU in the construction of the Entrepreneurial Lab in the new, state-of-the-art Edward J. Minskoff Pavilion at Eli Broad College of Business. He also supported the American Cancer Society and is a major sponsor of Gleaners food bank.
Outside of his professional and charitable endeavors, he enjoys hobbies such as playing chess, cooking, reading, yoga, and biking.
